Preparing for a move - Evolved Mommy

Here I am 6 months preggars and we’re about to list our house. The idea is to be out of rural Arkansas and into semi-sort of-almost urban Arkansas. This mama is a fish out of water in the country. I need to see people walking around and interacting with one another.
Last week, I actually heard the following at our local grocery store: “Them ain’t the ones they got over at Chicken Holler.”
The gentleman was referring to the pansies on display in front of the grocery store. Chicken Holler is the local “nursery” one town over.
GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!
So, is it crazy to try to move while pregnant? Let me back up, is it crazy to deal with a house on the market when pregnant? My energy level is around a 2.3 on a good day and we all know that when your house is on the market it has to look great every day on the chance that a realtor wants to bring that perfect buyer around.
In the event that it does actually sell in this crappy, yet improving, market how in the world will I muster the energy to pack, unpack and arrange a new house? But then again, will I have the energy and time to do it after the baby gets here?
Which is the more desirable situation? In my mind either situation is better than being stranded out here with a new baby. At least “in town” I can go to “Mommy & Me” time at the library or walk around the park with the stroller.
So here we go. Listing this house. Wish us luck. Pray for us. Burn incense. We can use it all.
Maybe, just maybe we’ll be in a new home by the time our baby girl arrives.

I’ve been saying that for 6 years… give it time… you’ll find that you get used to it! tee hee hee! Luv ya! (couldn’t resist)
Okay, just had to laugh when you told me you guys were trying to sell the house before baby arrives. We did the EXACT same thing. However, it worked out that we didn’t find the home we wanted until he was 2 months old. Negotiations took years and we moved when he was 4 months old. Luckily we had family to watch the boys while we moved. With kids or without them, moving SUCKS!! This better be our forever home. Whatever you do – get out of the country! Good luck!
We did the same thing and to our luck the house sold and we were moving while I was big fat and eight months pregnant. Moving day my mom just knew I was going to go into labor. Needless to say we got all moved and unpacked days before she arrived. Even almost got her room finished painted before she arrived. Did the same thing when we got married. Had a wedding, went on our honeymoon and the day after we got back from the honeymoon we signed the papers and was moving out of my house into a house of our own. Crazy how things work out. Good luck.
Oh Lordy! You make me tired. I do hope it works out, though, and we can be in a new house before our baby girl gets here. I’m not holding my breath, but I’m hopeful.
