The Exhaustion of Preparing a House to Sell - Evolved Mommy

You would not believe how hard we worked this holiday weekend to get this house ready to sell. It felt like we actually went ahead and moved out.
However, the house looks incredible, mostly thanks to a couple of great articles (one I found and the web at about.com and the other from our agent).
Truly, I wish I’d seen these articles before I listed my condo that sat on the market for an entire year and then sold for less than what I owed.
Today is the first official day that we are on the market, so I will keep you posted. If it sells quickly in this market it most definitely is due to the great advice we received and followed. If it does not, then these articles are a bunch of hooey and you can disregard.
It might be because I’m pregnant but I was pretty sure by noon yesterday that I was going to die. We did survive. I’d post pictures, but I’m afraid of internet weird-o’s knowing where I live.
Being in a house that is entirely clutter free gives me an amazing amount of energy. I’ve eaten better and gotten more done since we finished, and so far I don’t miss any of the “things” we moved to storage. Amazing. I really thought I couldn’t live without any of it. WRONG!

If you’re anything like us – as soon as we had our home spotless and ready to show we were like “maybe we should stay…this place looks great!!!” Good luck!
Congrats on finishing up the place! I know thats a huge load off your mind.
I know, isnt it so incredible how cleaning out our “physical” space can really de-clutter our mental space as well? It feels very freeing and catharctic to just throw things out/organize, and it totally changes my mood and attitude.
Good luck with the sell!
