In a previous post I mentioned that we bought a Lifeproof iPhone case because we were going to the beach. I didn’t know if I would actually be able to bring myself to take my iPhone in the water, though, even after I did the “Lifeproof water test”.

Turns out I was completely confident in this case and took it straight to the beach when we arrived. Being able to take pictures while standing in the ocean is nice, but the real benefit was being able to take pictures in the rain.

Tropical Storm Debby greeted us when we arrived in Florida and then she hung out for three or four days. If I hadn’t had that case on my phone I would’ve missed a lot of great pictures for fear of getting my iPhone wet.

I will say (or, err, type) that I never felt comfortable taking underwater pictures like Lifeproof cases shows in their videos. I just couldn’t do it.
