Wordless Wednesday: Back 2 School and a Treat - Evolved Mommy

Charlie goes to pre-kindergarten 3

Charlie is ready for her first day of pre-k 3 with her Minnie Mouse handbag

First day of mother's day out pre-k three year olds

If I take this many pictures for the first day of her twice-a-week Mother’s Day Out program there is no memory card large enough to hold the pictures I will take on her first day of Kindergarten.

“No pictures!” Ugh. Momarazzi

Oh dear. She’s pulling out her best cute tricks already.

App Review: Peekaboo Friends and Peekaboo Fridge

Peekaboo Fridge app

To celebrate the first day of school Charlie got the new Peekaboo Friends app on her iPad. I’m sure I’ve talked about the Peekaboo apps before. They are consistently listed in “Best App” articles all over the Internet, and they just launched a new one August 30th.

I think a new app is a healthy alternative to other “back to school” treats, such as going out for ice cream or pizza.

Peekaboo friends comes with Peekaboo Fridge, which is literally just a picture of a fridge. Each time your little one taps the fridge door it opens to show a new, silly-faced food item. Why this is so entertaining for preschoolers, I don’t know, but Charlie is hooked.

At the end of the game all of the food items come together in the Peekaboo Fridge for a grand finale silly song

At $1.99 it’s also cheaper than ice cream or pizza.

How was your “back 2 school” experience?

We are still three years from Kindergarten. To me Charlie already looks big enough to go. By the time she meets the age requirement she’s going to look like a suspicious case of Kindergarten Red Shirting.
