You may have seen my birthday cake post the other day where I shared my homemade creation for Charlie’s third birthday.

Tonight Charlie’s best friend Hadley came over for dinner, and since she couldn’t be at the party she brought a very special cake with her. Hadley’s mom Shannon made one of the Pioneer Woman’s delicious chocolate cake recipes, appropriately called “The Best Chocolate Sheet Cake. Ever.” Truly.

Next month I’ll get to meet Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman) in person because CountryOutfitter is sponsoring her keynote address and the after party at the Aiming Low NonCon. CANNOT WAIT!

“Tell me about this cake Hadley”

Every time the Bowers are scheduled to come to dinner Shannon asks what she can bring. The answer is ALWAYS dessert. Why does she even bother to ask?
