Holiday Gift Guide: for Dads - Evolved Mommy
Do guys want anything other than tech? No. Not really. Everything on Steve’s Chistmas wish list is tech-related in one way or another. I’ve done very subjective research to come up with the following list. How exactly did I arrive at these items? I asked Chris, Cade, Dustin, Steve, Neil and other random men (some of whom were complete strangers) what they want. This is what I got.
Gadgets
Fitness and sleep tracker: FitBit One – $99
Have sloth for a husband? Get this and watch in awe.
Tablet: iPad Mini – $549 (This one is on mom’s gift guide, too)
Hours of entertainment in a beautiful 7″ piece of technology. Feel free to go get yourself those Tory Burch flats if you buy your honey the new iPad because he’ll be too distracted to notice you’ve even left the house.
eReader: Kindle Paperwhite – $119
Now, if you’re getting him an iPad this is unnecessary and redundant. If he just wants a fantastic eReader this is the one.
Noise canceling headphones: Bose QuietComfort Noise Canceling Headphones – $299
These are spendy, but if your guy needs to focus on a shared workspace, or if he’s really, really into music these are a great gift. I kind of want some, too.
Tech Accessory: iPad Keyboard: Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard – $99
I have the Zaggfolio keyboard for my iPad and love it, but this one has gotten rave reviews from all the big tech blogs Steve follows. It is ultra thin.
iPhone case: Computer iPhone Art Case – $39
Geeky fabulousness right here, friends.
Books
Not a holiday or birthday goes by in our house without a book gift. These are some manly, techy books for your guy.
Dieter Rams: As Little Design As Possible by Phaidon
Check out this visual book review by Core77 because my words cannot do this book justice.
The Unofficial Lego Technic Builders Guide
Guys like to make stuff.
Bonus
Probably anything from Uncommon Goods Gifts for Men

I just bought the iMac desktop this summer. Um yeah, learning curve. I started out on Macs years ago but things have changed. I like it, it just takes effort to learn new tricks.
