  1. Mollie

I would love to know more about a perfect laptop for kids, specifically tech savvy 9 and 11 year old boys. Our home computer is way too slow. Thinking of switching to a Mac from Dell. Any thoughts?

  2. My wife and I have a product called “the dipr” – it’s a spoon for holding Oreo cookies so you can dunk in milk without losing your cookie. The product has been doing very well and we’d love to include it in your holiday gift guide. You can see the product and view more info on our website: http://www.thedipr.com

The product retails for $2.99 and is available in 5 fun colors. The product is available online and it’s sold in a lot of retailers across the country. It makes for a great stocking stuffer!

    Thanks!

  3. Speakers! I want to find a good speaker(s) for my iPhone, preferably travel-friendly. I want them for myself but would also give them to my teenager, boyfriend, and family.

  4. I am dreaming of having a Kitchen Aid Mixer this year! Lets hope it gets fulfilled this year! I have spent many years wishing for one and they pass by…

  5. I’m most interested in the Kindle Fire (I believe you did a post on this). Interested to see how our children might be able to use it for reading, academics, and maybe a game or two. Also, is there a techy something-or-other that will tell me where I last laid my phone in the house?

  6. I would like to know which tablet is best for my 7 yr old.

  7. I want to know more about these lovely new touch screen laptops. I love my tablet, take it to every meeting and is the only thing I take internationally. My laptop has basically become my desktop computer, but I still need it for “real” work. Is there something that is as sexy and simple as the tablet that will do the work of a laptop? Sign me up!

  8. Well I want “I work from home” lounge wear that is still appropriate (sorta) to make a quick drive thru errand while wearing. But that’s not techy With so many people telecommuting these days, how about a review of the tools that are most useful for that? Including software? Or perhaps, since many purchase that stuff for themselves as a tax deduction, what about accessories to go with the big dollar items? I would also love to know more about the affordable digital cameras that are out there. I’m also hearing a lot about online safety for devices both for adults and kids. Info about those kind of apps/programs might be good. Especially if, say, one family member is buying the device but another family member wants to get something cool and useful to go along with it (SO much better than a tacky sweater from Auntie Sue or Gma).

    • Oh, another idea (yes, I just replied to my own comment)…what about smaller tech stuff that is more affordable? Even giving ideas for what is out there might be helpful for those that are not tech savvy. Ideas include those portable cell phone chargers that don’t need to be plugged in, USB port thingies for your car, the best external hard drives, etc. Tech gifts $20 and less or something.

  9. Definitely the Everpurse. I love mine!

  10. Kendra

I want an iPad mini bc my gen. 1 iPad is finally obsolete. And I want 2 jawbone products. The Up “everything” tracker bc I don’t sleep well just quit smoking and want to get healthy. And the big jambox bc I still rock!

  11. Karen M.

Really bummed that I have the fit bit flex, now that they have come out with the FIT BIT FORCE…it is everything that I wanted (only 30 dollars more!!), but I will stick with the flex, cause it is working for me. Amazed at how many tech people in my life have NOT heard of any of the Fit Bit products, but to be totally honest, I was introduced to it on your blog long ago…

I am even thinking about a tablet, Kindle Fire maybe???

  12. We have a Kindle Fire that my boys fight over all the time, so we’d like to get something similar for our 3 yr old. He loves all the Disney apps and Angry Birds Star Wars! If they each had something to play, maybe they wouldn’t fight so much? I know…wishful thinking. ;)
