What Bing is doing in the classroom might change the way you think about search - Evolved Mommy
Hey teacher friends and parents… Do you know about Bing in the Classroom yet? Ad-free search, free surface tablets, earn stuff (a la box tops, but with search), etc.
Details are here: http://www.bing.com/classroom
I’m sitting at Mom 2.0 right now listening to some amazing speakers, and in between a couple of them reps from Bing told us about Bing in the Classroom, which is a program that provides schools with free Surface tablets and and ad-free search as well as filtering outs adult sites.
They also have a rewards program similar to box tops. All three pieces stand alone. You don’t have to receive Surface tablets to use the search rewards or ad-free search, for example.
Bing in the classroom:
- Ad-free search for all schools
- Earn free Surface tablets for schools in your area
- Free daily lesson plans
Usually, I wait to decide what exactly to share with you from all the fabulous talks and pitches at a conference, but this one I just had to shoot out. Spread the word to schools you think need to know.
Homeschoolers, they’re working on something for you, too. This program just launched last week, so it might be a little bit before they figure out how to handle individual locations. Schools are easier because it’s done at the IP level.
Share this info with your friends. By simply using Bing you can help your school earn free tablets.
