See all the photos from my fun trip to Blissdom.
This stuff always looks so much easier in pictures than I remember it being live. It was hard y’all!
Who doesn’t love clever QR code placement?!
The tiny little United Airlines plane that started my journey toward Blissdom 2012
The Gaylord Opryland is easily the most confusing and disorienting hotel ever. Also, it’s freakin’ huge. I got lost every. single. day. But I knew if I found this garden I was near my room.
We were greeted at Blissdom by these giant balloon um… sculptures. That’s Shannon from NWAMotherlode, btw. Isn’t she adorbs?
Handmade Marketplace at Blissdom 2012 – Where mama’s who make fabulous stuff sell it to other mamas who love fabulous stuff
Every girl needs sparkly shoes. This mama made her own.
That’s me with Alli Worthington, one of the founders of Blissdom. She was a doll and very approachable. Nary an entourage in sight.
Okay, so maybe sometimes we have a hard time actually talking to each other… in person
Nope. This isn’t the garden near my room. This is the Delta garden, duh!
Hanging out with Planting Dandelions author Kyran Pittman at the Babble party.
Jon Acuff, author of “Quitter” and “Stuff Christians Like”, gave the kickoff keynote and was HILARIOUS!!! And then he gave us all signed copies. It was a very Oprah-esque moment.
Haha! This is for Steve b/c he hates costumed characters. This is the Hershey’s Easter bunny. Cool fact: they are delivering an Easter Basket to my door at the end of this month.
Nope. You’re wrong. That’s not a dog on the table. It’s Flat Preston. This blogger translates for her dog via the interwebs. Click the image to see what the heck I’m talking about.
Holly Hamann, founder of Blog Frog, speaking about entrepreneurship. All of the businesses on that slide boot-strapped it in the beginning. Very cool.
Hallmark did a cool thing and had a suite FULL of greeting cards that we could send to other bloggers at Blissdom or back home to the loved ones who were keeping our kids alive.
More of the Hallmark suite. They kept restocking the cards. Really, this was one of my favorite things about Blissdom.
That’s Julie Cole from Mabel’s Labels on the far left. Her work is on all the sippy cups in my house and has been for two years.
Seriously. THE BEST veggie burgers I’ve EVER eaten. And I can’t get them where I live. Anybody know the veggie burger buyer at Walmart?
No, Steve, Danny Devito is not actually in there. But hanging out with The Lorax was pretty cool.
Blissdom Besties! Hanging out at The Lorax party.
We had a blast at the Joe Jonas and Rascal Flatts concert (even though I went back to the room and went to be before Rascal Flatts even took the stage because I’ma big ole loser like that)
It occurs to me I need new clothes. I still love that top, scarf and bag.
This year I plan to go to several conferences as I start this new journey with TheMom.com and I’d love to know which ones you’re going to or have been to. Tell me in the comments below. Also, share a link to your Blissdom 2012 recap.
