iPhone iOS 6 Update Features: Evolved Mommy Favorites - Evolved Mommy

We’ve had a few days with the new Apple iOS 6 update, and there are a few features that stand out already as my favorites. I’ve narrowed it down to five, but I’ll be glad to talk about some of the others in the comments.

1. Do Not Disturb iPhone feature

Apple iOS 6 Do Not Disturb function

Do Not Disturb: 1. Go to settings, 2. Tap “Notifications,” then 3. Tap “Do Not Disturb” to adjust your settings. Easy! And emergency calls still come through if you elect “on” for Repeated Calls, meaning your phone will let the call through if the caller tries more than once.

2. Amazing pictures in any light

3. Tap to tweet/facebook

iOS 6 Tab to post to Facebook and Tap to Tweet function

From the Notifications Center (swipe down from the top of ANY screen on your iPhone) you will now see “Tap to Tweet” and “Tap to Post.” I love that we no longer have to open the app to share what we ate for lunch.

4. Even Easier Photo sharing

From any picture click the “share” button and you instantly have all of these options. Simple. Genius.

5. Panorama iPhone Photography

OK, Maybe I’m stupid, I can’t see the “Tap to tweet/facebook” when I swipe down from the top of a screen. Great tips! Keep them coming, please.

        Cool – thanks!

  2. LOVE your updates on the updates…add more…that was very informative!!! How do you do the panoramic iphoneography??

    • Evolved Mommy

The Panorama thing is so easy. When you have the camera open there is an “options” button at the top. Click that, then “Panorama” then click the shutter button. Move your camera according to the on-screen directions and tap the shutter again when you’re done. I may do a post later.

I was wondering the same thing. I just tried it. Super cool!
        THANKS

  3. My husband seems to like the Find my Friends update. I keep getting alerts when he leaves work and such. :)

That’s hilarious. I use it when my husband is traveling, so I can see how close he is getting to home.
