In Arkansas alone we’ve had 25 deaths from the flu this year, so naturally when I got the flu earlier this month I was certain I was dying. Thankfully, I did not. But let me tell you this… I was a couch-living zombie for at least four days (I can’t remember the exact number because I’m not sure how many I slept through).
What did I do other than sleep while I was drooling on the couch? Watch Netflix. Lots of Netflix. And the Queen Latifah show. She’s fun, y’all.
Thankfully, my daughter never caught the flu from me, but in case your littles do come down with something nasty this sickness season Netflix has put together a fun playlist for the pitiful kiddos.
As soon as your kiddos come down with the next nasty cold (hopefully not the flu) fire up the AppleTV and put The Croods on. Also, Beverly Hills Chihuahua is surprisingly captivating (even for adults… blame it on the fever).
Mom confession: I relish the sweet snuggles I get when my daughter is under the weather. Don’t judge. When she’s well she will only snuggle for 1.37 minutes before she’s off and running again.
What’s your go-to movie for sick kids? What about for yourself?
Evolved Mommy is about tech and gadgets as the relate to family life. We talk about Apple products like iPads, iPhones and pretty cases for iPads and iPhones. We talk about gadgets for the home like Nest thermostats and Roombas. We talk about nonsense and life in Northwest Arkansas. Whatever.
