#NetflixKids Keeps the Olympic Spirit Alive - Evolved Mommy

#NetflixKids Keeps the Olympic Spirit Alive

Little known fact: I was (briefly) a figure skater long, long ago (that’s little bitty me at my very first competition). FYI, skating was not a common sport in the south.

These days my first pass around an ice rink looks a lot like Bambi on the pond, but I still hear songs on the radio and immediately know which ones would make an amaaaazing program.

“Say Something” by Christina Aguilera and that other guy, for example… OMG.

The Olympics bring out my inner figure skating commentator with flair. Johnny Weir and I would have such fabulous fun together.

Then the games are over. And I have a glory days hangover.

Since there was a Jamacian bobsleigh team this year, I so want to show my kids the movie Cool Runnings. Any idea where to find that? It’s not on Netflix and not at our local library. :-( Great list of movies. Thanks for sharing!

  2. The itty bitty you photo is priceless. Great tie-in to winter/ice related movies on Netflix.

    • Thanks! In that competition I was an Olympian in my mind.
