Does every mom need an iPad3? No. That might really be frivolous. Don’t get me wrong. If you have an iPad3 I’m not calling you spendy. I just think the lesser iPad2 is more justifiable for most, and you can get a refurbished iPad2 straight from Apple.

The two most used apps on my iPad are iBooks and Pandora. I love to put my iPad in its handy little dock attached to my Bose in the kitchen and open Pandora. Sometimes I listen to Lucinda Williams and sometimes it’s Lady Gaga. Whatever.

Foursquare v. Gowalla v. Whrrl: What’s Your Geo-Social Poison?
Being somewhat impatient (no snickers, please) and a touch ADD (shut it, lady!) I asked a few Twitter friends recently which geo-based social-media app they most used. My hope and assumption was that one of the apps would come out unanimously in the lead. Wrong! There are a few who use Gowalla, several who use Foursquare and some who use Whrrl. Ugh! Really?
Isn’t it bad manners enough to check in on one app when you arrive at the restaurant with your non-social media friends, MUCH LESS two or three.
So what’s the difference between Foursquare, Gowalla and Whrrl?
