Returning to work has been very exciting for me. I’m proud of what I do, which is a great feeling and I love the people I work with.
Surprisingly, it hasn’t been as hard as I expected to get back into a routine of putting on clothes that don’t stretch and fixing a lunch in advance.

As a blogger I often get pitches from companies wanting me to talk about their products. 90% of the time I ignore them, but a couple of weeks ago I got one that really caught my attention for a couple reasons:
“We are definitely at a point where the supply of things to do online is at a dramatic overcapacity relative to what we can actually do in our lives as human beings. When you have technology that has an infinite supply of possibility and you have finite time, at a certain point, people shut down.”
So how close are you to social media fatigue?
One of the questions I get the most from people who know I have a blog (yes, there are people in my life who don’t know and I’d like to keep it that way) is, “How do I start a blog?”
But usually it isn’t phrased in such a sweet, inquisitive way. What really happens is this:
Apparently, the term was first coined in ’99, but really started to gain traction in ’05 and is becoming quite common now (again… late to the party).
Basically, it’s not a specific program or application or piece of software. It’s a broad generalization about the state of the web today, which means what? INTERACTION!
