Not really sure what I was getting myself into, I dragged my husband Steve (@scratic) over to the Dress Barn in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade to do a little shopping. We had a limited amount of time between work and going to the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art opening. Our family pictures were scheduled for 9:00 a.m. the next morning, which meant that if I didn’t find the perfect outfit there would be no time to find something else for the pictures, and my whole master Christmas card plan would fail. FAIL!

So how close are you to social media fatigue?
Apparently, the term was first coined in ’99, but really started to gain traction in ’05 and is becoming quite common now (again… late to the party).
Basically, it’s not a specific program or application or piece of software. It’s a broad generalization about the state of the web today, which means what? INTERACTION!

If you are an entrepreneur, a small business owner, or a community activist the idea of putting your brand or message out there in the social media world can be scary. You might worry that you will say something wrong; or that you are behind the technology; or that getting out there will backfire; or maybe that your competition is better at using social media than you are.
Between Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and a slew of lesser social networks the idea of getting in there and really getting to know people can seem impossibly overwhelming. It’s not.
Google+ (plus.google.com) is the new social network created by Google which is like a combination of Twitter and Facebook. Some people are having a hard time wrapping their head around it so I’m here to give you five tips to help you wade into the pool that is Google+.
There are several bloggers in NWA that now get together (somewhat) regularly. Of those bloggers I’ve compiled a list of the ones you should really get to know. Interact with them on Twitter. They are supportive, informative, curious, different, uplifting and genuinely fun people.
